My dogs have been fed a raw diet since 1998 when I acquired Kate. This was a new way of feeding and a scary thing to jump into alone. However, I discovered that I am not alone in feeding this way. I did, at one time, go back to kibble because I felt I didn't "have the time" to do the raw diet correctly. That lasted about 4 weeks. Just long enough to see that I needed to make the time to feed raw because I could see in my dogs eyes, coats, and health that the raw diet was much better for them.

In late 1998 I began to question vaccinations (even though my father is a veterinarian) and I stopped vaccinating my adult dogs completely. After getting Tracer and giving him all the "usual" puppy shots, I began to question the multitude of shots a young puppy went through and the repeated vaccination schedule forced on these young babies. So my next pup, Cody, was completely unvaccinated and came from a naturally reared home, with a mother who was unvaccinated and a father who had limited vaccinations. Monet joined me next and I convinced her breeder to not vaccinate her and even provided the breeder with enough information about vaccines to make her do limited vaccines with the rest of Monet's litter! Four of the pups from Kate's litter are unvaccinated and reared naturally.

In 2000, I began to treat my crew more holistically and began homeopathy with them as well as stopping all chemical "treatments and preventatives". This includes things like heartworm treatment and flea/tick topical applications. I now rear my dogs and cats as naturally as possible, without the use of the above chemicals and I am constantly looking to eliminate chemicals/etc from my home and environment in general.

If you have any questions about what I use, how I feed, or any general questions for me please feel free to email me.
